It is an evergreen plant which can be grown for culinary uses, aromatic foliage or used as a dense topiary specimen. Due to this plant withtaking pruning well it can provide the perfect hedge and thrives in coastal regions. It can be subject to frost damage in cold areas, but new growth will quickly appear in springtime.
