Loncera nitida is a fast growing compact shrub which is ideal as an low growing evergreen hedge. It produces attractive tiny leaves and responds well to tight clipping. It is an all round tough plant suitable for problem areas and has evergreen foliage for all year round colour and screening. It is an attractive form or foliage for all year interest whilst it tolerates full sun and sandy, drought-prone soils. It can also tolerates cold exposed locations and heavy clay soils.
