The Pyrus salicifolia Pendula is a graceful spreading small weeping tree that brings subtle grey and silver shades wonderfully into any smaller garden. The trees weeping habit falls from a congested mound of downward growth as stiff branches bend towards the ground forming its distinctive dome shape. The Pyrus puts on its greatest display in the spring as it is transformed by the production of masses of creamy white flowers and blossoms followed by small brown fruits in autumn . Its leaves are also a point of interest as throughout summer they move from a silver to shiny grey green colour.
