Taxus baccata-- more commonly known as Common or English Yew is a medium-sized evergreen tree with narrow-- dark-green leaves-- sometimes with fleshy red fruits.It is an excellent plant for hedging or topiary. Plant in any well-drained soil. Will tolerate exposure-- dry soils and urban pollution. It will reach a height of 15m and a spread of 12m after 20-50 years. CAUTION Most parts-- especially the seeds-- are highly toxic if eaten.
