This stunning Italian clipped and shaped small Buxus Sempervirens (Box) cone, with a 100-110cm height looks equally stunning in a pot or in the ground. Buxus Sempervirens is an elegant, slow growing, evergreen plant that is totally hardy and is tolerant of both sunny and shady conditions. Its leaves are small, glossy dark green and are very dense, making it an ideal plant for topiary work. This product is supplied in a 21 Litre Pot.
The Buxus cone is ideal for a low maintenance garden, patio or balcony. Box plants will grow 4-6 inches a year and can be trimmed during the growing season (June to the end of August). Clip the plant tightly in summer to retain shape and feed to maintain colour.
Cones are measured in terms of height and width of base. Cones have rounded sides resembling an upside down ice cream cornet.
Cones are mainly used in the garden to give the structure and architectural shape to complement low level planting. They can be placed in tight corners and used to hide unsightly areas of the garden. They are particularly effective placed in a line either side of a pathway or driveway, giving an impressive look to the front of your house. Alternatively, they also look beautiful in planters on your patio or outside your front door.
