Our suppliers relationships are the heart of our business. For seven years, our
team has enabled its suppliers to successfully access this growth while working
closely with them to protect and promote their brands in various markets, complement
their existing retail channels and facilitate smooth logistics. We totally understand
the importance of flexibility and tailor our selling approach to meet our suppliers'
specific needs. Our business success depends on our supplier relationships. We value
them hugely and are committed to our four core partnership principles:
- Honesty and integrity in everything we do: We make money by delivering
against customer AND supplier needs. We do this by being open and honest in everything
we do. Unhappy suppliers restrict supply and consequently our customer’s choice
– not a good success model.
- Drive sales and profit for our suppliers: We measure our success by (i)
customer satisfaction, (ii) our own business growth and profitability and (iii)
our suppliers sales growth. We want to be in your top 10 customers. Our investments
in marketing ensure that there is broad scale distribution of the products direct
to consumers, but also through our business sales division. The difference is that
we’ll do this by building your brand in a way that you are happy with, not
by diluting it. This is so important we’ve broken it out as a core principle.
- Building suppliers brands across all channels: We are absolutely committed
to helping our suppliers' brands sell on and off-line. The difference is that we’ll
do it in a way that builds their brands across all channels. Our suppliers know
their products better than us, so we actively seek their advice to ensure we represent
the products well and merchandise them fairly. We are very very sensitive to our
suppliers' desire to have a consistent value proposition across all of their retail
outlets so we work closely to ensure our relationship is complementary to our suppliers'
existing sales channels. It rarely works for a supplier if we cannibalise existing
sales and devalue their brand, especially across traditional channels, so we work
with our suppliers to ensure that we build incremental sales WITHOUT diluting the
brand proposition.
- Very Easy to work with: Every supplier has an allocated relationship manager,
usually the buyer, and a customer service representative. This team is tasked with
setting mutually acceptable sales, profit and brand goals, and ensuring that we
deliver them. In our experience, every supplier has unique logistics, order flow,
payments, and returns processes, so we ensure that we tailor our approach to meet
our suppliers' needs and to make the entire process as extremely smooth and seamless.
